LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Devils will be participating in various events throughout the community, including a pair of appearances this weekend. The week started off with an appearance at the Life Care Center in Billerica on Tuesday, with the team's mascot, Devil Dawg spreading cheer throughout the nursing home on its Sports Day.
Sunday, May 20th - Lowell General Hospital TeamWalk
Sunday morning is the annual TeamWalk for CancerCare, hosted by Lowell General Hospital. ! ; In its eighth year, TeamWalk is a fundraiser that supports the LGH Cancer Center to provide treatment and social services to patients and families. The walk will start and finish at Tsongas Arena, and feature over 3,000 walkers who will marc! h three miles. La! st year? ??s event raised over $492,000. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:00 a.m. For more information or to participate, log on to http://lowellgeneral.org/. ! The Lowell Devils front office has put a team of walkers together and will be joined by Devil Dawg.
Lowell Devils Street Team
The Lowell Devils Street Team is in place and ready help out with your community event. Consisting of members of the promotional staff, the Street Team will be visiting various charity events, fairs, recreational outings and more. They will be armed with the Devil-mobile, Devils promotional gear and accompanied by Devil Dawg. Future events for the Lowell Devils include the Relay for Life at Reading High School, the Lowell Parks and Recreation Summer Kick-Off, the annual Folk Festival and more.
