Louisville City FC News Release
COACH JAMES O'CONNOR
On his team's fight back: "Very pleasing. I can't fathom why we looked so tired out there. We made a load of changes because of fatigue, and we still looked jaded. I get that there's a bit of humidity there, but that impacts on our quality of our decision making -- our quality of passing. The first half, I don't think I've seen us give the ball away so cheaply. We gave the ball away under press continually. But in saying that, the second half I thought the fight back from players was fantastic, and I thought the supporters second half were absolutely tremendous -- well, including the first half. I thought they really stood with the guys. You could constantly hear them singing -- constantly hear them cheering the guys on. I think that definitely played a part as well, so a big thank you to the supporters. "I'm really pleased with the fight we showed the second half, but I think the quality of our play needs to be better. I think, OK, we've had chances. Another night we score. The other night we get a penalty. But I think for how we've been all season, I think we need to be better than that."
PACO CRAIG
On his first career goal: "Well, I was in the center position where I know one of our boys is going to hit it, and so I just thought, 'I'm going to crash the box and see what happens.' It was a great strike from, I think it was you, right, Ben (Newnam)? Great strike - unlucky to hit the post - and I just put myself in a good area and waited to see what happened. I put myself in a good area, waited to see what would happen and luckily Guy (Abend) put it close to me, and it was just a tap in."
BEN NEWNAM
On a sense of urgency late: "Of course, when we're down one-zero, we're going to do everything we can to push to get that goal and equalize. At that point we want to keep pushing on to get the winner. We don't really like to accept ties around here. We don't like to accept, obviously, defeat. A tie to us feels like a loss. We wanted to push as much as we could without conceding. Of course we wanted to have some urgency."
