Louisiana's Materukhin Suspended Three Games

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that it has suspended Louisiana right wing Alex Materukhin for three games as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game # 24 at Pensacola on April 10.
At 18:33 of the second period, Materukhin was assessed a major penalty and a match penalty for cross checking under Rule 43(a) Attempt to Injure.
Per ECHL rules, the match penalty carries an automatic one-game suspension. Materukhin is suspended the additional two games under Rule 33A Supplementary Discipline.
Materukhin will miss Louisiana's game at Pensacola (Apr. 13) and will miss subsequent Louisiana games in the postseason until the full three-game suspension has been served.
