Loudoun United FC Announces Technical Staff Updates

Leesburg, VA - Loudoun United FC (LUFC) today unveiled the complete lineup of the team's technical staff for the 2024 season, underscoring the club's commitment to excellence and innovation on the pitch.

"We are thrilled to announce the renewal of key staff members and the addition of several young, innovative coaches to our team. This strategic blend of experience and fresh perspectives underscores our commitment to embracing innovation and propelling the technical side of Loudoun United to new heights," said Oliver Gage, Director of Soccer, Loudoun United FC. "We're excited about the potential of this group of staff. Their expertise in data, analysis, and player development positions us to ascend into the top tier of USL clubs. While growth and improvement are processes that unfold over time, these appointments mark a significant step forward in establishing Loudoun United as a premier destination for ambitious players seeking to excel in their careers."

At the forefront is Head Coach Ryan Martin, who is set to lead LUFC for his sixth consecutive year. Under his guidance, the team has seen substantial growth, both on and off the field. Martin's philosophy of fostering a positive team culture, together with his technical acumen, has been instrumental in shaping the team's competitive edge. His ability to develop young talent and create a cohesive unit has positioned LUFC as a formidable force in the league.

Joining the technical team is Steve Coleman, stepping in as the First Assistant Coach. Coleman arrives at LUFC from New Zealand, bringing with him a wealth of experience in cultivating high-performing teams. Known for his forward-thinking approach and innovative tactics, Coleman's expertise in team building and culture development will be invaluable to LUFC. Previously, Coleman served as an assistant coach for the New Zealand National Team, contributing to their qualification for the upcoming Olympic games in Paris, France.

Assistant Coach Victor Lonchuk brings an extensive background in high-performance training, both domestically and internationally. The Argentinian also brings top-level video analysis and periodization for players. Lonchuk will be responsible for player performance, recovery, training, and coaching.

Goalkeeper Coach Jack Stefanowski brings over 20 years of winning experience to the team. With significant experience both domestically and internationally, coupled with fluency in three languages, will be instrumental in training goalkeepers and in driving the LUFC culture.

Additionally, Patrick Mullins joins as the club's first ever Senior Analyst, Scouting. With experience as both a professional player and as an agent in Major League Soccer, Mullins' keen eye for talent and his ability to connect with players will significantly bolster LUFC's scouting capabilities.

The team is reinforced by dedicated members who specialize in video analysis, data analysis, and enhancing individual performance. This dynamic team includes Ben Griffis, Aly Ismail, Sammy Lander, and Benjy Slator. Their tireless efforts play a crucial role in the club's strategic and player development initiatives.

Further supporting the team behind the scenes are Kristi Beckman, who takes on the role of Team Administrator in her first year with LUFC; T.J. Salzberg, returning for his third season as Equipment Manager; and Drazan Vukovic, joining as Athletic Trainer for his inaugural season.

Loudoun United FC opens the season on Saturday, March 9, against San Antonio FC at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Home Opener is set for Saturday, March 16 at 3:45 p.m. ET against North Carolina FC at Segra Field in Leesburg, VA. Tickets are available now at www.loudoununitedfc.com.
