Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Chattanooga Lookouts (0-1) dropped their season opener to the Montgomery Biscuits (1-0), 6-3, in front of a crowd of 5,861.
Starting pitcher Tejay Antone, began the game by issuing two straight walks and a RBI single to Dalton Kelly. The Right hander settled in after that, tossing four straight scoreless innings.
In the bottom of the fourth the home team got their offense rolling. Gavin LaValley led off the inning with a double down the line and scored on a Courtney Hawkins RBI single. Hawkins proceeded to score later on T.J. Friedl's first triple of the year.
Chattanooga increased their lead to two in the bottom of the next inning. After a Tyler Trammell walk, Ibandel Isabel smoked a double to put runners on second and third with no outs. The next batter, Tyler Stephenson, smacked a groundball to plate Trammell.
Up 3-1, the Lookouts saw their lead vanish in the fifth inning. Designated hitter Brendan McKay clubbed a RBI double and then score on a Miles Mastrobuoni home run. Now leading and the bases cleared, the Biscuits continued to pile on the runs. Thomas Milone, Rene Pinto and Lucius Fox hit back-to-back-to-back singles to make it 6-3 Montgomery.
The game remained 6-3, as the Biscutis bullpen closed out the game with four consecutive scoreless innings.
Ty Boyles took the loss for the Lookouts and Arturo Reyes nabbed the win for the visitors.
Tomorrow, RHP Tony Santillan takes the mound against LHP Josh Fleming. Game time for Fireworks Friday is 7:15 p.m. with gates set to open at 6:00 p.m.
