BILOXI, Miss. - Mother Nature had other plans for baseball, as the Birmingham Barons 2019 season opener against the Biloxi Shuckers on April 4 was rained out and postponed?.
The game will be made up on Friday, April 5 as part of a doubleheader. First pitch for game one is scheduled at 5:35 p.m. Both contests will be seven innings.
Listen to the game on WJOX 94.5 FM and WJOX 690 AM. Fans can tune into the Coca-Cola Pre-Game show on WJOX at 5:20 p.m.
The Barons will finish their road trip in Biloxi on Monday before an off-day on Tuesday. Birmingham's home opener at Regions Field will be Wednesday, April 10 at 7:05 p.m. against the Tennessee Smokies (Double-A Chicago Cubs).
The Birmingham Barons are the proud Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. The Barons will open the home portion of their 2019 season, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of Michael Jordan's lone year in baseball, against the Tennessee Smokies at 7:05 p.m. April 10 at Regions Field.
