Long Island Nets to Hold Two Local Player Tryouts on September 10 at Fieldhouse Sports Complex

LONG ISLAND - The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, will host their annual local player tryouts, presented by HSS, on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Fieldhouse Sports Complex in Massapequa, N.Y., where local basketball talent will have the opportunity to compete for a chance to earn an invitation to Long Island's training camp in October.

Long Island will host two separate tryouts on Sept. 10, with a morning session followed by an afternoon session. The first will start at 10 a.m., and the second will begin at 2 p.m. Both tryouts will be facilitated by Brooklyn and Long Island Nets basketball operations personnel, who will assess participants through a variety of drills and scrimmages.

Both local player tryouts will be held at the Fieldhouse Sports Complex at 5600 Old Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa, N.Y. Check-in for the first session will begin at 9 a.m., while check-in for the second tryout will start at 1 p.m.

Recent local player tryout success stories include Kameron Hankerson, a 2022 local tryout participant who appeared in 28 games for Long Island during the 2022-23 season, and Craig Randall II, a 2021 participant who appeared in 27 games for Long Island during the 2021-22 season and became the first local tryout player in NBA G League history to earn Player of the Month honors in February 2022.

Each tryout will be limited to the first 75 applicants who submit the $250 non-refundable registration fee and complete the required registration and waiver forms. Both tryouts will be closed to the public.
