
Long Beach Plays Las Vegas in First-Round Playoff Matchup

LONG BEACH, Calif. (March 1, 2005) â The Long Beach Jam of the American Basketball Association continue their title defense in a first-round playoff game against the Las Vegas Rattlers Sunday, March 6 at the Pyramid in Long Beach.
The defending ABA champions, the Jam tied a franchise record by winning their seventh-straight game Sunday, a 117-102 drubbing of the Los Angeles Stars.
The ABA determined playoff seeding based on power rankings assigned by the league. The rankings were determined by a number of factors including won/loss record, number of games played, difficulty of schedule, and point differential. Should the Jam advance, they will play the winner of the Utah Snowbears â St. Louis Flight game.
