WINDSOR, ON - The Spitfires were looking to improve on their 6-3 win over the Flint Firebirds as the Knights were in town for a Thursday night clash. It was the second of 6 matchups between the two teams this season. The Knights took the first one on November 9th by a score of 10-7. This one looked eerily similar in the early going as 5 goals were scored in the first frame. But the offence's would slow down compared to that game as the Knights would win this one by a score of 6-2.

In the first period, the Knights got off to a quick start. Just over four minutes into the contest they ran a pick/interference play on Cristoforo which knocked him down and they potted in a goal on the back door. The crowd was upset with the non-call. Just a few minutes later, the Knights would go up 2-0. However, Abraham said he had enough of that and went on to score two goals in 26 seconds to tie the game at 2. One goal came on a penalty shot, it was his 7th and 8th goal of the season. Just two and a half minutes later, the Knights would put the puck in the Spits net but it was waved off. After a review it was a confirmed good goal and the Knights would lead 3-2 heading into the intermission. The Knights led 13-11 in shots after the frame.

In the second period, it was all Knights, they controlled the possession and made the Spitfires pay on costly turnovers. The Knights would make it 4-2 on a powerplay goal in the slot. Costanzo was then subbed in for Michelone. Just 8 minutes later, they would capitalize on a turnover at the Windsor blueline and make it 5-2. The Knights had 7 shots for a 2 period total of 20 while the Spitfires had 6 for 17 total shots.

In the third period, London would add another one and win this one 6-2.

The Spitfires are back in action on the road on Saturday in Owen Sound. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm.
