Sacramento Republic FC News Release

Calling all caramel corn lovers and Sacramentans: place your vote now for a local favorite to be named the first-ever winner of the "Coolest Thing Made in California" competition. Over the weekend, the California Manufacturers & Technology Association announced that Sacramento-based Carmazzi Caramel Corn was selected as a finalist for the award. Voting is open now through Thursday, September 28 at CoolestThingCalifornia.com.

Carmazzi is a woman-owned and family-run business that first opened in 2016 from a home-based kitchen using a secret family recipe. Since then, its products have expanded to be sold at over 30 locations throughout the region and opened its first brick-and-mortar store in the Arden-Arcade area earlier this summer. It was also named the recipient of Republic FC's Kickstart small business grant program in March of 2021.

From a pool of 100 products, Carmazzi was voted by Californians as one of the top four products and the only one representing the Greater Sacramento Region. The award was introduced this year as a first-of-its-kind competition for California to showcase the diverse range of industries and businesses that are creating innovative and exceptional products every day. The winner will be announced on October 6, National Manufacturing Day.
