Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

Fort Worth-- Jason Jeter is one of the best bareback horse riders in the nation, but riding a Brahma bull might be pushing his luck.

Jeter, who finished second in the bareback bronco riding competition during last week's National Finals Rodeo, will be making a celebrity appearance at the Fort Worth Brahmas' home game this Saturday night December 21, at the Ft. Worth Convention Center. The Brahmas will be hosting the Indianapolis Ice beginning at 7:05 p.m.

Jeter, a Fort Worth native, will drop the ceremonial first puck before the game and will be signing autographs in the concourse during the first intermission.

During the NFR competition, he also won the average rodeo for compiling the best score, and he set a new NFR money record, winning $98,500 during a 10-day span. Jeter also won a gold medal in bareback bronco riding event during the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Brahmas are in action tonight against the Wichita Thunder at the Kansas Coliseum beginning at 7:30 p.m. before returning home to face the Ice tomorrow night. Tomorrow's home game will be the beginning of a two-week stretch that will see the Brahmas play six of eight games on home ice.
