Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today that Fort Collins, Colo. native A.J. Hau has re-signed with the team. A product of the Northern Colorado Youth Hockey program and former Colorado State University team captain, Hau played his first professional season with the Eagles last year.
In 40 regular season games last season in the CHL, Hau registered nine points (2-7-9), a +7 plus/minus rating and 42 penalty minutes; eight of his nine points came in his final 19 games. The 6-foot, 190-pound forward played in 11 playoff games, tallying a goal in Game 5 of the Presidents' Cup Finals.
"A.J. showed a lot last season as a rookie, getting better as the year went on, and I was probably guilty of not playing him enough," said Eagles head coach & general manager Chris Stewart. "He brings a lot of energy and work ethic to the ice, and he's not afraid of anything."
The Eagles will begin their preseason camp on Friday, Sept. 30. They will then travel to Alaska for preseason games on Oct. 4 & 5 before playing their only preseason game at the Budweiser Events Center on Friday, Oct. 7 against the Las Vegas Wranglers.
The 2011-12 ECHL regular season begins on Friday, Oct. 14, with the Eagles' home-opener taking place on Friday, Oct. 21. A complete schedule can be found at www.ColoradoEagles.com.
