Myrtle Beach, SC -- Radhames Liz and the Keys bullpen held the Myrtle Beach Pelicans scoreless and Jason Fransz hit his league-leading 13th home run to help the Keys win, 2-0. The win is the first time the Keys have won as many as three in a row since April 11 through 14.
Liz (6-4) tossed 5.0 scoreless innings, scattering six hits, while striking out two, to earn the win before the bullpen allowed just two more hits the rest of the way. James Hoey earned his third save, tossing a scoreless ninth inning. Jake Duncan and Sandy Madera each had three hits for the Keys' offense.
Fransz got the Keys offense started with a lead-off home run in the top of the second inning to give Frederick a 1-0 lead.
Tripper Johnson would do the rest of the damage in the top of the sixth inning with a single to right field that scored Nolan Reimold, adding insurance.
From then on, Fredy Deza, Trent Baysinger, Casey Cahill and Hoey each tossed a scoreless inning of relief, combining to give up just two hits to cruise to their third straight victory.
Luis Atilano (3-7) took the loss, allowing two runs on eight hits over 6.0 innings of work.
