Live Music and More to be Held Prior to Both Eagles Games this Weekend

WINDSOR, CO – The Budweiser Events Center will help the Colorado Eagles kick off their second season with a block party before both Friday and Saturday night's games. The festivities will take place outside near the southwest entrance and will begin at 5:30 p.m. The block party on both evenings is free to the public.

"We are thrilled to see to start of the Colorado Eagles second season," said Global Spectrum's Rick Hontz, General Manager of the Budweiser Events Center, "We feel the block party will be a great way to welcome die-hard Colorado Eagles fans back and to add to their overall experience at the Budweiser Events Center."

In addition to top-notch food and drink made available for purchase by Ovations, the block party will feature "The Champion Shoot-Booth" an interactive hockey oriented shooting game, and live bands on both evenings. On Friday night, prior to the Eagles/Memphis RiverKings game, Jason Vigil will bring his blend of original, upbeat, music to the block party stage. Successfully blending powerful hooks into an alternative/emo-pop/rock sound, Vigil is making a name for himself throughout the Northern Colorado music scene. Highly energetic shows, compelling stage presence, along with solid and catchy song writing is what consistently sets him apart from other artists trying to find their niche in this increasingly popular genre. Vigil is popular amongst patrons at the Budweiser Events Center previously playing prior to several concerts last season.

Saturday night, before the Eagles battle the Corpus Christi Rayz, the music of "On The Rocks" will entertain block party going patrons. "On The Rocks" is coming on strong as one of the newest bands in Northern Colorado, combining a unique blend of hard rock, blues, reggae, country, blue grass and folk. While enjoying themselves on stage, their alternative sound is a nice change, their songs are emotional, some are heavy and some are just fun to sing along with.

American Eagle Distribution will have a Good Sport gazebo dedicated to promote the importance of responsible behavior by encouraging people to have a designated driver for the evening. Good Sport, who also combats against underage drinking, will offer a free soda to all those who sign up to be the designated driver for their group for the evening.

The Eagles have a streak of 34 consecutive home sell-outs coming off their inaugural season. The Budweiser Events Center at the Ranch, located in Loveland, CO, is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose venue, which opened in September 2003, and is home to the Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League and the Colorado Chill of the National Women's Basketball League. The arena, which is owned by Larimer County, is managed by Global Spectrum, the fastest growing firm in the public assembly facility management field with more than 40 public assembly facilities in the United States and Canada.
