(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that it will stage a three-day mini-camp at its Surrey practice facility from Tuesday, April16th to Thursday, April 18th.

With a specific emphasis on preparing the offence for the 2013 season, the camp features all four quarterbacks currently under contract to the club as well as 10 receivers, three running backs and one fullback. Veteran centre Angus Reid and back-up Adam Baboulas will also participate.

"I know Jacques Chapdelaine and his staff are excited to have this opportunity," said Lions head coach Mike Benevides. "Not only do we get an early look at where we are from a personnel standpoint, but we can also begin the process of installing our offensive concepts for the 2013 season."

Lions quarterback Travis Lulay who signed a contract extension this past January, is equally excited to get back on the gridiron a full seven weeks ahead of training camp. "Personal workouts and occasional self-led film sessions during the offseason are great, but to have the core of our offense on the field with coaches this far in advance of the season is going to be huge for us."

The 20 players slated to participate will be on the all-weather field adjacent to the Surrey practice facility from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm daily with a full media availability following each session.

"The commitment to winning a championship by everyone in our organization has made this opportunity a reality and I believe it will pay dividends in training camp when we come together for the first time as a team," added Benevides.
