
Lions Secure Two For Backfield

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that import running backs Brad Lester and Yonus Davis have signed with the team.
Lester had originally joined the Lions in October last year following a tryout with the Houston Texans. The Auburn University grad bounced back from a season-ending knee injury during his first year at in 2004 to play four full seasons for the Tigers from '05 to '08. The Georgia native recorded 371 carries for 1,689 yards and 10 TD's over 41 games and also added 26 receptions for 258 yards and another three majors.
Davis wrapped up a stellar career at San Jose State in 2008 as one of the most productive and versatile running backs in school history. A three-time Second-Team All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) selection (2005, 2006 and 2008),the Oakland native had eight 100-plus yard rushing games for the Spartans and completed his college career with a selection to the 2009 Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game.
