
Lions Get Gold Medal Signing In Keron Williams

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced officially announced this morning that they have agreed to terms with CFL All-Star import defensive lineman Keron Williams. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not released.
"This is a great signing for our club and for our fans," said Lions GM and head coach Wally Buono. "Keron is quick, athletic and brings a lot of skill to his position. He was one of the top free agents available and we're excited to have him join us."
Williams, who began his career with the Calgary Stampeders in 2006 will enter his fifth CFL season with his third club after spending the last two years with the Montreal Alouettes. Last season, the UMass grad and former college teammate of current Lions linebacker Anton McKenzie recorded 32 defensive tackles and eight sacks and capped his days with the Alouettes with a CFL All-Star selection and a Grey Cup championship.
