Niagara IceDogs News Release

In 2015, the Niagara IceDogs and the Lions Club of Niagara partnered to purchase a guide dog, to be provided to an autistic person in need. The Lions Club raised $6,000 through selling IceDogs season tickets to its members, and the Niagara IceDogs have matched that donation.

Through the funds raised, we have acquired an autism trained care dog, Bones.

On Sunday, March 11th, prior to the puck drop of our game against the Windsor Spitfires, Niagara IceDogs owners, Bill and Denise Burke will be presenting Bones to the Lions Club Foundation of Canada, before he makes his way to his new home in the Niagara Region.
