
Lions Add Three to Practice Roster

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced this morning that three players have been add to the practice roster including import defensive end Anthony Hoke, import wide receiver Edward Britton and import offensive lineman Nick Hennessey.
Hoke comes to the Lions after two seasons of Arena Football with the Green Bay Bizzard and Cleveland Gladiators. He was also an undrafted free agent signing of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008 following a four-year career at the University of Cincinnati. He departed the Bearcats second in career sacks with 21.
Britton attended mini-camp with the Cleveland Browns this past spring after a standout career at Texas Tech. While with the Red Raiders he notched 125 receptions for 1,722 yards over 50 games and added 14 TD's.
Hennessey signed as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills this year after a decorated career at Colgate University. Playing both guard and tackle, he received All-Patriot League honours in 2008 and helped anchor an offense in 2009 that ranked fourth in rushing and 12th in total offence.
