Linglet Scores One Goal In 10-9 Canadian Win

The American Hockey League's All-Star Classic took place Tuesday night in Portland, Maine with forward Charles Linglet representing the Springfield Falcons at this mid-season event and scoring one goal and adding one assist in a 10-9 Canadian AHL All-Stars victory. Linglet was a +1 and also had four shots on goal in the win.
Linglet has been a model of consistency this year for the Falcons as he continues to lead the Falcons in scoring with 10 goals and 37 assists for 47 points in 46 games. The Montreal, Quebec native currently leads the AHL in assists and is tied for third in the league in scoring. Linglet also remains the only Falcons player this year to have played in all 46 of Springfield's games.
With the success Linglet is enjoying this year for the Falcons, it's easy to forget that it hasn't even been a full calendar year since he made his debut with the Falcons last season. On February 18, 2009, Linglet was reassigned to the Falcons by the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Carl Corazzini. Linglet joined a Falcons team last year that was struggling to score goals and the nifty forward quickly made an impact collecting seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in the final 21 games of 2008-09. Linglet was rewarded this past summer with a contract offer from the Falcons and he has made the most of the opportunity.
"You never give up the dream of playing in the National Hockey League and I am just trying to work hard and help this team win games," said Linglet, who is in his seventh professional season. "When I came to Springfield last year, it was kind of a clean slate and I have enjoyed my time with the Falcons and in Springfield."
Prior to arriving in the Pioneer Valley, Linglet proved to be a consistent scorer at the AHL level. Linglet twice reached the 20-goal plateau in Peoria with the Rivermen, including a career-high 31 markers in 2006-07. He is currently only five assists shy of tying his career mark for helpers in a season entering this weekend's action. Entering the All-Star break, Linglet remains on fire having collected one goal and seven assists for eight points in his last four games played.
