Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - Nashville SC unveiled its matchday squad and Starting XI before its Wednesday night match against Memphis 901 FC kicking off at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Starting XI includes:
Keeper: Matt Pickens
Defenders: Taylor Washington, Liam Doyle, Jimmy Ockford and Kosuke Kimura
Midfielders: Vinnie Vermeer, Bolu Akinyode and Lebo Moloto
Forwards: Ropapa Mensah, Alan Winn and Daniel RÃos
The bench will include keeper Connor Sparrow, defenders Darnell King, Justin Davis and Bradley Bourgeois, midfielder Michael Reed and forwards Tucker Hume and Kharlton Belmar.
A few notes about the Starting XI:
Keeper
Matt Pickens makes his 11th start of the season
Both Sparrow and Matt Pickens have rotated two starts apiece so far this season
Defense
Jimmy Ockford makes his Nashville SC debut after being acquired on short-term loan this week
Liam Doyle also makes his 15th start of the season
Taylor Washington makes his 11th start of the season
Kosuke Kimura returns to the starting lineup to make his 14th league start of the season
Ken Tribbett remains out with a calf injury
Midfield
Bolu Akinyode makes his ninth start of the season
Vinnie Vermeer returns to the squad to make his second start of the season. He recently returned from a loan spell with Las Vegas Lights FC
Lebo Moloto returns to the lineup and makes his 14th start of the season
Forward
Daniel RÃos will make his 18th start of the season and will wear the captain's armband for the first time as a member of Nashville SC
Alan Winn starts for the first time since May 22. It is his fourth start of the season
Ropapa Mensah returns to the lineup for the first time since June 22 to make his fifth start of the season
