(Calgary) - Today, the Calgary Stampeder Football Club announced that Linebacker Walter Spencer has been released from the team.
Spencer joined the Stampeders on March 15, 2006 as a free agent. In 2006, he recorded one defensive tackle, one fumble recovery and 20 special team tackles. Before joining the Stampeders Spencer played two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
