Ogden Raptors News Release
I hope you are all having a good week. Congratultions to the White Sox on winning the series. It's stinks they swept the series though. I always root for seven games so we can keep the season alive that much longer.
Baseballparks.com has recently come out with their top 20 best views in all of professional baseball. Guess What? Lindquist Field was named the best! It's awesome for the Raptors, and the whole community. Orem and Salt Lake tied for second, which is great for the whole state. Please see the top 20 below:
1) Lindquist Field, Ogden 2) tie: Franklin Covey, Salt Lake & Home of the Orem Owlz, Orem 4) PNC Park, Pittsburgh 5) Richmond County Bank Ballpark, Staten Island, NY. 6) SBC Park, San Francisco 7) Coors Field, Denver 8) John O'Donnel Stadium, Davenport, IA. 9) Comerica Park, Detroit 10)Tucson Electric Park, Tuscon 11) Wrigley Field, Chicago 12) Keyspan Park, Brooklyn, NY. 13) Harbor Park, Norfolk, VA 14) Sec Taylor Stadium, Des Moines, IA. 15) Safeco Field, Seattle 16) Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles 17) Joseph P, Riley Park, Charleston, SC 18) Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore, 19) Turner Field, Atlanta, 20) Tie: Isotopes Park, Albuquerque, & McCormick Field, Ashville, NC.
As you can see, it is quite a list. To think people rate Lindquist Field in view higher than these big league parks is quite a feather in our cap. We are working on making it better too, but that news wil come later. You can check out baseballparks.com to see the listing and pics. There are other cool things on their site as well.
We have added something new for our souvenir program for 2006. Now you can purchase a "Business Card Size" Ad for only $100.00. This will allow anyone the ability to advertise. Use the space to sell your product, heck, use it to just say hi to someone. It's up to you, and it's very cheap and easy. Send your information and $100.00 check to Ogden Raptors, 2330 Lincoln Ave, Ogden, UT. 84401. Of course you can call us or email us with a Visa or MC number.
No one guessed correctly the trivia from last week, so I will keep the same question for this week. Let me state it again for you.....A Lazy fly ball is hit to Left Fielder Manny Ramirez, but the ball hits a bird in flight before Manny catches it. Was the ball caught in flight for an out?......Give me the answer and the rule # with rule explanation. First correct answer will receive a 20 pack of game tickets for next season.
