The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday that defenseman Petteri Lindbohm has been reassigned to St. Louis (NHL) while forward Bryce Gervais ("zhur-VAY") has signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO).
Lindbohm, 22, has posted 3 goals and 8 assists in 43 games for the Wolves this season, which gives him 9 goals and 20 assists in 96 games for his two-year stint in Chicago. The Helsinki, Finland, native also has appeared in 7 games for St. Louis this year.
Gervais, 24, completed his four-year college career with Minnesota State University on Saturday in the WCHA Final Five championship game. The Battleford, Saskatchewan, native posted his 67th and final goal in a Mavericks uniform on Saturday, which tied him for second place on the school's career goal-scoring list during its Division I era.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound forward paced Minnesota State during the 2015-16 season with 16 goals and finished second with 26 points. Gervais and Bowling Green forward Mark Cooper, who signed with the Wolves on Wednesday, both earned third-team all-WCHA honors this season. For his career, Gervais stacked up 67 goals and 34 assists while playing in 163 consecutive games.
The Wolves travel to Iowa for games at 7 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday before returning to Allstate Arena at 7 p.m. Wednesday to face the Rockford IceHogs in an Illinois Lottery Cup contest.
