Sacramento Mountain Lions News Release

SACRAMENTO, CA - Monday, October 25 - Singer and guitarist LINCOLN BREWSTER will provide pre-game and halftime entertainment when the SACRAMENTO MOUNTAIN LIONS host the HARTFORD COLONIALS at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 30 at Hornet Stadium on the Sacramento State campus.

The Mountain Lions, of the United Football League, are 2-3 after beating the Florida Tuskers 21-17 in Orlando on October 21. This will be their third home game of the season and the Mountain Lions have averaged 19,500 fans for their first two home games.

Brewster will take the 'Coors Light Entertainment Stage' in Lot 8 of the Hornet Stadium Parking lot to perform during the pre-game Fan Fest. Gates open at 5 p.m. for the Fan Fest.

Brewster, now a Granite Bay resident, teamed up with former Journey frontman Steve Perry for about three years in the 1990s. Brewster co-wrote 'For the Love of Strange Medicine' with Perry in 1994 and the two toured together as part of a band following that album's release. The album reached the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard charts and featured the hits 'You Better Wait' and 'Missing You.' Brewster, 39, was featured on guitar and did some background vocals while Perry was the lead vocalist.

"Saturday's game is going to be blast!" Brewster said. "I'm so excited that Sacramento has a pro football team and I'm honored to be partnering with the Mountain Lions for such a great event."

Brewster, who is enjoying a successful solo career, will perform a 12-minute set at halftime inside the stadium. His seventh solo album, titled 'Real Life', came out in September.

"Lincoln Brewster is very popular and he's from right here in our backyard - we think it's a perfect fit," said Mountain Lions Director of Business Management Joe Wagoner. "And we're thrilled that he is going to help pump up the fans on Saturday."

Quarterback Daunte Culpepper and the Mountain Lions will try to even their record at .500 with a win on Saturday night. Hartford (1-4) topped the Mountain Lions, 27-10 in Connecticut, when the season opened on Sept. 18.
