Georgia Force News Release
ATLANTA, GA. - The Georgia Force announced today that a limited number of tickets remain for the team's home opener on Sunday, February 16th in the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Force will host the AFL World Champion San Jose SaberCats as the Arena's first-ever event. The Force-SaberCats contest will be broadcast nationally on NBC at 3:00 p.m.
Based on recent response, the Arena at Gwinnett Center has agreed to release the remaining club seats to the team for individual game sales. With the additional of these club seats, there are 1,500 remaining tickets for Sunday's game.
"We saw 15,000 people come tour the new Arena at Gwinnett Center yesterday during our open house," said Force Chairman Virgil R. Williams. "Throughout the entire time, people were buying Force season tickets, group tickets and individual game tickets. The open house allowed people to come and see how beautiful and first-class this facility really is and people saw that the new Arena is something special.
Williams explained how the national exposure from NBC's broadcast of the game has added to the excitement of the Force's first home game after two straight road games to start the season.
"This is a golden opportunity for the people in Gwinnett County to show everyone how passionate they are about football and how the community support in the area is so strong," explained Williams. "Everyone wants to be a part of it.
The Force is 1-1 on the season after defeating the Colorado Crush at Denver in the season opener 44-40 and falling at Detroit to the Fury 31-38 last week. Season tickets and flex packs are on sale and can be purchased with a credit card by calling (770) 813-7610 or visit www.georgiaforce.com.
