Lightning Salute the Troops This Saturday on "Military Appreciation Night"

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning of the arenafootball2 league are pleased to announce "Military Appreciation Night" presented by the United States Marine Corps is scheduled to be held this Saturday, June 6 at Stockton Arena when the Lightning take on the Tri-Cities Fever in Week 11 of af2 play at 7:00 p.m.

To promote a greater spirit of patriotism, the Lightning will salute the courageous efforts of men and women of the nation's Armed Forces of the past, present and future with military themed pre-game and half-time ceremonies during Saturday's game. The first 2,000 adult fans in attendance will receive mini American flags.

For each Military Appreciation group ticket sold for Saturday's game, $1 will be donated to "Packed With Pride," a non-profit organization specializing in sending care packages to United States troops serving throughout the world. $10 discounted tickets (Upper Premium/Lower End Zone), a saving of $7, are available by calling the Lightning at (209) 373-1501 and mentioning the "Military Appreciation Night" discount.

The Lightning are also offering special $10 tickets for the game to military personnel (when presenting military identification) when purchased at Stockton Arena's Alpine Meats Ticket Office.
