Rockford Lightning News Release
Rockford, IL. At this year's NBA Pre-Draft Camp, 20-year-old Jamario Moon went from a "no-name" to a "head-turner"! The Coosa County, Alabama native showed exceptional athleticism, plenty of skills, scored 13 points, and drained all three of his attempts from three-point land. It was that display of talent that caught the eyes of Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo.
Pending league approval, Moon will be suiting up in Lightning blue and gold next season. "He's young, an exceptional athlete, and many NBA teams are extremely impressed with his potential," says Coach Daleo. At 6-foot-7, Moon has come a long way from shooting baskets on a dirt court in rural Alabama.
"He's going to compete at the two and three positions," adds Daleo, "We feel he's young and hungry enough to give our offense a jolt." Moon is scheduled to attend Vet's Camp on November 4th.
Also, the Lightning are going to be out in the community this weekend. Freddie Flash and the Lightning Front Office will be at the Stillman Valley Fall Fest on Saturday. Come say "Hi", and pick up a season schedule.
Any further information can be obtained by calling the Rockford Lightning front office at 815-874-4232 or by visiting the team website.
