Lightning host Kids Day Camp during holiday break

Rockford, IL- The Rockford Lightning are offering something for this holiday season while the kids are out of school and the parents are at work. Your kids can receive expert instruction on basketball fundamentals by professional coaches, and have fun at the "Rockford Lightning All-Star Kids Day Camp." It will take place on December 20th and 21st at the Indoor Sports Center at 8800 E. Riverside Blvd.

Not only will your kids be able to learn basketball fundamentals, but Rockford Lightning players and Freddy Flash will be making appearances on those two days. There will be a movie shown during the day, and anyone who participates will get a free t-shirt and a ticket to the December 22nd game against the Great Lakes Storm. Drop off the kids at 8:30 a.m. and pick them up at 4 p.m. for an exciting day of basketball instruction.

The "Rockford Lightning Kids All-Star Day Camp" is for kids ages seven and older. The cost is $50 for one day and $85 for both days, but there will be discounts for families with multiple children. For more information, contact the Lightning office at 815-874-4232.

Fans, want to meet your favorite Lightning players and enjoy some great food at Don Pablo's? Then come out to the next "Meet The Team Party" at Don Pablo's Mexican Kitchen. Lightning Coach Daleo and the Lightning players will be there, signing autographs and talking Lightning basketball to fans. It'll be from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14th at Don Pablo's, 6275 East State Street in Rockford.
