
Lightning announce athletic trainer

The Lightning continue to gear up for the 2005-2006 season by putting the finishing
touches on its staff. They announced today the hiring of Jim Halpin, ATC, as
athletic trainer.
Halpin, native of Prophetstown, IL, has been a member of the athletic training staff
at Illinois State University while earning his Bachelor of Science in Athletic
Training from 2003-2005. Upon graduation in 2005, he worked with NASA at the
Kennedy Space Center before finishing up the baseball season with Major League
Baseball's Cincinnati Reds.
"I am very excited to be on board for the 20th anniversary season," said Halpin. "I
am looking forward to helping âcontinue the tradition' of exciting basketball with
the Rockford Lightning."
"We are happy to have our final piece of the staff in place and are looking forward
to the start of the season," General Manager Michael Neville.
Lightning season tickets are still available through the Lightning office. Ticket packages start as low as $74.75 and can be purchased in full, half, and 7 game packages.
