Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The 2015 IronRail Series Champion* will be determined tonight when the IronPigs (60-73) play the rubber match of a three-game series against the first-place Scranton-WB RailRiders (74-59) at PNC Field... With a doubleheader split last night (L, 5-0; W, 5-1), the Pigs have won five of their last seven contests and have started 1-1 on this eight-game road trip. Since reaching their low-water mark on June 13 (22-42), the Pigs have posted a 38-31 record... The RailRiders -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- have dropped four of their last five games after reeling off a 10-3 record from August 9-23. Since falling below .500 on May 24 (22-23), the Riders have posted a 52-36 record to surge ahead in the North -- going from 3.5 games back to 5.0 games ahead... The two teams just split a rain-shortened, two-game series August 18-19 in Moosic.

*With one game remaining, the RailRiders lead the 2015 IronRail Series, 9-8. However, in the case of a tie, the IronRail goes to the team that wins the final game of the series (RailRiders won this way in 2013).

RHP Alec Asher (2-0, 2.08) will start for LHV against RHP Kyle Haynes (2-1, 5.06).

First Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
