
LHP Martin Perez Transferred From Frisco to Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced Thursday that LHP Martin Perez has been assigned to Triple-A Round Rock Express from Double-A Frisco RoughRiders.
The southpaw made two starts with the RoughRiders after suffering a fractured forearm in spring training on March 3. In his two starts, Perez totaled 7.1 innings of work, allowing nine earned runs on 14 hits while striking out two. In his last outing, the left-hander allowed eight earned runs on nine hits over 3.1 innings against Corpus Christi on May 11.
Perez will start tonight against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox as the Express opens an eight-game homestand at 7:05 p.m.

After four games against the Sky Sox, the Express will welcome the Reno Aces (Diamondbacks) for four games at Dell Diamond on May 20-23.
