NORWICH, CT --- Chad Lewis went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and Jacob Tanis added a pair of RBI singles as the Vermont Lake Monsters beat the Connecticut Tigers 4-3 in New York-Penn League action Tuesday night at Dodd Stadium.

The Tigers took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a one-out Tyler Hanover double and Danry Vasquez RBI single, but Vermont quickly tied the game in the second as Wilfredo Solano scored an unearned run on a wild pitch that followed a two-out throwing error by third baseman Brett Harrison. Lewis then gave the Lake Monsters a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning with a two-out solo homer, his first home run of the season.

Vermont added a run in the seventh as Chad Lewis led off with a single, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored two batters later on a Tanis two-out RBI single. Connecticut got a run back in the bottom of the seventh as Vasquez led off with a double and scored an unearned run one out later on a Bruce Maxwell passed ball to cut deficit to 3-2.,
