Kinston Indians News Release
The K-Tribe is riding a season high seven game winning streak. Kinston has won eight of nine since getting swept in a double header, their sixth and seventh losses in a row, two weekends ago at Myrtle Beach. The K-Tribe has not won eight in a row since August 7th through 15th of last year. Kinston followed the streak, which propelled them into the playoff race in the Southern Division, with a season high eight game losing streak. The K-Tribe lost 11 of their final 13 games of 2009 (including the streak) to cause them to miss the playoffs for the first time since 2000. Kinston starts the day just 1 ½ games out of the final playoff spot in the Carolina League Southern Division, with 26 games left.
