
Leslie Named 'Be True to Your School' Winner

BOISE, Idaho, November 9, 2010 - Bishop Kelly High School football coach Lee Leslie is this week's "Be True to Your School" award winner, presented by Commercial Tire and Cooper Tires.
The following are excerpts from the nominations for Coach Leslie.
"Coach Leslie has helped out his players no matter what the cost was to him and his lifestyle."
"He is a winner all the way around; he truly cares for his players and students."
"Lee Leslie deserves to win because he is a true inspiration. On and off the field he lives a virtuous life and is filled with passion for his sport. He can adjust to different circumstances and is an excellent coach."
Coach Leslie will be invited to be a guest of the Idaho Stampede on Wednesday, December 8, to be recognized on-court for his award. Throughout the season, coaches will be invited to be recognized at Idaho Stampede basketball games and Idaho Steelheads hockey games at Qwest Arena.
The "Be True to Your School" program allows local fans to nominate a deserving high school athletics coach for recognition. The winning coaches will be invited to a game at Qwest Arena to be honored and the athletics department at the winner's school will receive a $750 donation from Commercial Tire and Cooper Tires. In all, $15,000 will be donated to area schools.
To nominate a coach for the award, visit the Commercial Tire website and click on the "Be True to Your School" logo. Fill out the nomination form and click "Submit Form." Once you've done that, your coach has officially been nominated. One winner per week will be selected through February 12, 2011.
