(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that running backs Jerome Messam and Mickey Dean have agreed to terms on contracts with the team.

Messam wrapped up a sensational final season at Graceland University in 2009 rushing for 1,075 yards and 12 touchdowns on 197 carries. Prior to playing at Graceland, Jerome was a standout at North Dakota State College of Science where he played for the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Dean spent five seasons at Arkansas - Pine Bluff including an injury-shortened campaign in 2006. The Little Rock native rushed for 2,179 career yards and 25 TD's on 487 carries. That season he also set a freshman single game record with 237 yards on the ground and four TD's versus rival Jackson State.
