B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that running backs Jerome Messam and Mickey Dean have agreed to terms on contracts with the team.
Messam wrapped up a sensational final season at Graceland University in 2009 rushing for 1,075 yards and 12 touchdowns on 197 carries. The lofty numbers earned the Brampton native an All-Conference selection. Prior to playing at Graceland, Jerome was a standout at North Dakota State College of Science where he played for the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
Dean spent five seasons at Arkansas - Pine Bluff including an injury-shortened campaign in 2006. The Little Rock native rushed for 2,179 career yards and 25 TD's on 487 carries. That season he also set a freshman single game record with 237 yards on the ground and four TD's versus rival Jackson State.
