Houston Takers News Release

After talks and discusions on Monday with Willie McCray, it is final. Houston Takers owner Larry Leonard II is now the owner of the Houston franchise if the Womens Blue Chip Basketball League. The decision was made over the weekend when Leonard learned that the team was left vacant last season." When I started in this basketball world, I wasn't at all schooled in basketball business, but that's not the case now. I understand now what it takes and can't wait to get started this upcoming season in May," Larry Leonard stated.

Larry Leonard II owns the Houston Takers a part of the American Basketball Association and is truly looking forward for an exciting season and an amazing chance to bring home the title. "Im always looking for chances to invest and make money and right the real estate is looking crazy, so why not invest in basketball. The city of Houston has been through alot these last few days and bringing another fine sport and league to this area is going to be fun. I think the city will have no problem supporting us as we give our fans fast and affordable womens basketball," Leonard said.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
