Montreal Matrix News Release
The mission of the Montreal Matrix Team is multi-faceted. Its social implication is to reach out to troubled youth. We visit youth organizations, talk to the kids and give them reasons to believe in themselves. We also visit some of the local pediatric hospitals to encourage those who are sick and unable to attend the games. The sports side of the mission is to offer a fast-paced, exciting, fan-friendly activity at affordable prices. Our business perspective is to conduct affairs with honor, dignity, and respect.
The Montreal MATRIX seeks to live up to the heritage of the game as an example of what sports can be when the focus is put on the quality, entertainment and enjoyment of one of the most popular and diversified sports in the world - basketball. We have the dedication, the hard work and the will to help and improve our recognized brand name and strong tradition - we intend to build on that now and in the future.
OUR HISTORY
Established in 2005, the Montreal Matrix became Canada's first and only professional basketball team. The club is a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA) - a well-respected and established professional basketball league headquartered in the United States. The philosophy and the goal driving the organization is one based on teamwork, family values, social responsibility, and physical fitness. The Matrix organization prides itself on providing entertainment for all members of the community while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
During the debut 2005-2006 season, the club established itself as a momentous force by representing the city of Montreal in the ABA 2006 post-season playoffs while finishing in the top 10 of the league's 60 teams.
OUR GOAL
This year will be our fourth season and the goal for the 2008-2009 term is to reunite and bring home all of our best local players. These include graduates from Canadian and U.S. universities who have been away playing in various pro-teams. Uniting our regular players with those with experience from various levels of the game will prove to create a great force. The Montreal team will represent Canada and be confident in winning the championship at the end of this season. Such an achievement will raise our metropolitan to the respectable basketball level it has been destined to attain.

In doing so your business will be entitled to an array of gifts from our promotional package. We ask for a donation of $1000.
