Houston Takers News Release
Houston, TX. The ABA Houston Takers are preparing to face the South Texas Showboats this weekend, November 22nd, at To God Be The Glory Gym. It will be the first game for the takers and it seems that everyone in the camp is very excited. "We can't wait for the game to get here because in the off season, we made a lot of positive moves to shake things up," said Larry Leonard III, team owner. "On the other hand, the Showboats are entering their fourth pre-season game and they have said they are ready for the I-10 Showdown this weekend." Coach Mireles and the Showboats have been very successful in their pre-season with a 3-0 record beating opponents by an average of 36 points.
Leonard added, "We are really pushing for fans to come out to their first game of this young season. We have some big drawings including vacations. This is going to be an exciting and crazy season so why not do something a bit crazy in return. I call it my own stimulus package. Everyone keeps asking "what's the catch with these free mini-vacations" and I tell them "no catch." "We just want your support.
