Houston Takers News Release

Houston, TX. In their third season, the ABA Houston Lady Takers are synonymous with talent, beauty, glamour and glitz, as well as hard work, dedication and commitment. The well-known dance team is on hand at all of the Houston Takers home games and also makes numerous personal appearances at conventions, trade shows, sales meetings, promotional and charitable events.

Under the direction of former Back to Back MLS Houston Dynamo Girl Dancer, WNBA Houston Coments Team NRG Dancer, Texas Southern University Motion of the Ocean Captain and Xtreme Level Dance Company Owner and Artistic Director, LaTrecia Mallet, in addition to the commitment to the Takers, the dance team members have wide variety of occupations. This year's Lady Takers Dance team features careers in education, marketing, management, artist and several students. Their collective talents include dancing, singing, acting, modeling, gymnastics and much more.

The Lady Takers hold an audition to find the most talented and enthusiastic dancers to become part of their team. Dance team members must be at least 20 years old and must also have full-time employment or be a full-time student. Dance ability is essential and high school or college dance/cheerleading is helpful. Selections to the group are based on dance ability, appearance and personality. All current members are required to audition annually. Participants should be skilled in dance technique as well as various styles of dance not limited to Hip-Hop and jazz dance. The team will hold an annual audition clinic to provide participants with a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming audition process.
