
Mustangs Preparing To Open Veterans Training Camp

The Southeast Texas Mustangs Players will report to Beaumont, TX this Sunday, November 23rd to begin Veterans Training Camp. 18 players will be participating in the Mustangs inaugural training camp and will be competing for 12 active roster spots to open up the ABA season for the SETX Mustangs.
The Mustangs Training Camp is anticipated to be a highly competitive camp with a combination of highly talented young professional players led by former Lamar University stand-out players Lamar Sanders (6'7-240-Power Forward) and Darren Hopkins (6'2-180-Guard) just beginning their professional basketball playing careers along with some of the best veteran professional players playing pro basketball outside the NBA. Players like Johnny "Spyderman" Tyson (6'11-250-Center), DeRon Rutledge (6'6-240-Power Forward), and Jerry Williams (6'6-235-Swing Forward).
The Mustangs Training Camp begins officially on Monday, November 24th with Media Day at the Ford Park Arena on the new Arena Basketball Court from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Players, Coaches, and Staff will be available for interviews and photos. The Mustangs will take the court for the first time in an Exhibition Game on Saturday night, November 29th at 7:30 PM. The tip-off of the regular season will be Saturday night, December 6th at 7:30 PM vs the Houston Takers.
