
Lemurs Win in First Meeting with Quebec

Quebec City, QC - The Laredo Lemurs doubled up the Quebec Capitals, 8-4 with the help of three straight innings with two runs.
1B John Alonso and 3B Garrett Buchelle led the team on offense. Alonso went 3-4 with an RBI and two runs while Buchelle went 2-4 with two RBIs and two runs.
Justin Garcia picked up the win for the Lemurs, going 5.1 innings and giving up four runs. He managed three strike outs, allowed four walks and scattered nine hits. The Laredo bullpen then combined for 3.2 innings of shutout baseball.
The win keeps the Lemurs in a first play tie with the Grand Prairie AirHogs in the American Association South Division with two games left in the season.
