Laredo Lemurs News Release

Laredo 4, St. Paul 3 (Game 1-7 innings)

A two run fifth inning from the Laredo Lemurs would put them on top of the St. Paul Saints 4-3, a lead they would keep intact until the final out of the first game of the double header.

LF Sawyer Carroll led off the inning with a double, and 1B John Alonso drove him in with a single in the very next at bat. Alonso would score the winning run later in the inning after CF Mike Provencher walked with the bases loaded.

David Newmann threw six innings of the seven inning game, and struck out three batters in his bid for the win. He gave up just four hits and allowed three runs.
