Laredo Lemurs News Release
Laredo, TX - The Laredo Lemurs have officially canceled the Independence Day Festival at Uni-Trade Stadium scheduled for July 4th . This comes after the City informed the Lemurs that its temporary certificate of occupancy has been issued only for baseball games. The Lemurs were slated to put on a day-long festival that would include amateur baseball games, a music festival and capping the day off with the largest fireworks display in the city.
"It is unfortunate that we cannot host this event for the City but until I receive my permanent certificate of occupancy my hands are tied", stated Lemurs CEO Mark Schuster.
