Worcester 7, Grand Prairie 6

Worcester scored in four of the first five innings of the game and held off a late charge by Grand Prairie to beat the AirHogs, 7-6. The Tornadoes tallied single runs in the first, second and third innings and four runs in the fifth inning to take a 7-2 advantage. Grand Prairie scored four runs in the seventh to cut the lead to one but never got any closer. Worcester CF Jerod Edmondson went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and a RBI while DH Nick Salotti had a two-hit game, including a home run, with three RBI. Tornadoes starting pitcher Phil Negus was the winner as he tossed six innings giving up four earned runs on seven hits.

Winnipeg 3, Sioux City 2

Winnipeg starting pitcher Matthew Rusch had a tremendous performance as the Goldeyes topped the Sioux City Explorers, 3-2. Rusch went seven strong innings giving up only one earned run on four hits with 10 big strikeouts. With the win, Rusch is now 5-1 on the season. Winnipeg scored single runs in the first, second and fourth innings. 3B Josh Mazzola led the Goldeyes offense going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. C Ray Serrano had two hits in the loss for Sioux City.

Amarillo 10, Laredo 3

It was all Amarillo in this one, as the Sox rolled out to a 7-1 lead after three innings and would cruise from there to a 10-3 win over the Laredo Lemurs. Amarillo 3B Van Pope and CF Adam Buschini combined to go 7-for-10 at the plate with two triples, three runs scored and four RBI. Sox SS Jason White had a 3-for-4 night with a home run, two triples, two runs scored and two RBI. Amarillo starting pitcher Justin Garcia was victorious as he gave up three earned runs on eight hits in six innings of work. This was Garcia's second win of the season.

Kansas City 7, Gary SouthShore 6 (11 Innings)

SS Jose O. Duran scored on a wild pitch in the top of the 11th inning to give Kansas City the game winning run as the T-Bones beat the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 7-6. Gary SouthShore was in command early in the game as they rolled out to a 6-0 lead after three innings. Kansas City would storm right back as they plated one run in the fourth inning, three in the fifth and two more in the sixth to tie the game at 6-6. The game would remain that way until the 11th when Duran scored on the wild pitch. C Trevor Coleman went 3-for-6 with a run scored and a RBI to lead the offense for Kansas City. T-Bones reliever Mike Mehlich notched the win as he tossed two shutout innings allowing a walk and three hits.
