A stellar performance between the pipes byÃâàStefanos LekkasÃâàhelped the Springfield Jr. Blues defeat the Topeka RoadRunners, 4-1.
Topeka's power play was ineffective against Springfield's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.
The Jr. Blues were led byÃâàJoshua Lammon, who tallied one goal. Lammon scored 2:21 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Springfield.ÃâàPatrick CurryÃâàpicked up theÃâàassist.

Springfield also got a goal fromÃâàMatt WoodleyÃâàas well. In addition, Springfield received assists fromÃâàTrevor Stone, who had one.
Topeka's offense was clicking better than usual and put 28 shots on goal during the game, better than the 25.3 shots per game it averages.
The RoadRunners were led byÃâàTyler Poulsen, who scored the team's only goal. Poulsen scored 2:05 into the third period to make the score 1-1.ÃâàRyan PolinÃâàassisted on theÃâàtally.
Lekkas rejected 27 shots on goal for the Jr. Blues. Springfield incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.ÃâàDrew VoglerÃâàrecorded 17 saves for Topeka. TheÃâàRoadRunners incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
