Mississauga St. Michael's Majors News Release
TORONTO, ON - The Toronto St. Michael's Majors are proud to announce that defenceman Scott Lehman and goaltender Justin Peters will be representing the OHL in this year's ADT Canada/Russia Series. As has been the case the past two seasons, this initiative will consist of a group of select Russian players participating in two games versus the OHL "all-stars," two against the WHL and two versus the QMJHL. The OHL contests will take place in Kitchener on Thursday, November 24th and Peterborough on Monday, November 28th.
Lehman and Peters are both enjoying their 4th season with the Majors after being selected in the 1st and 3rd Round of the 2002 OHL Priority Selection, respectively. Scott was then a 3rd Round pick of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2004 NHL Draft while Justin was grabbed in the 2nd Round of the same event by the Carolina Hurricanes. Then, they visit Guelph tomorrow night (October 21st) at 7:30 pm, before returning home to host Sarnia on Sunday afternoon (October 23rd) at 2:00 pm. All three games will be available in Toronto on Rogers television, channel 10 or 63, and webcast at www.stmichaelsmajors.com. Ten actors from the classic hockey movie "Slap Shot" will be taking part in the ceremonial puck drop prior to the game versus Sarnia.
