Legends 'Stache-A-Palooza': Tickets, and Plenty of Fun

(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) The Lexington Legends are inviting fans to "Stache-a-Palooza" at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, Saturday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be fun for all ages as the Legends celebrate the first day that tickets will be on sale for individual home games and for the 2016 South Atlantic League All-Star game, which will be played at Whitaker Bank Ballpark June 21.

In addition, fans will have an opportunity to sample some new concession items. Ballpark tours also will be available.

The 70-game regular season home schedule opens Thursday, April 7, when the Legends, class A affiliate of the World Series champion Kansas City Royals, take on the Lakewood BlueClaws, who are affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Here's a rundown of locations and activities for Stache-a -Palooza:

In the Kentucky Ale Taproom

-New Concession Items:

- Ultimate Burgers - The Legends will have three new burgers on the menu this year. Fans can pick their favorite and then submit a name for that burger. The name judged the best will be on the menu all season long.

- Fried bologna sandwich (with a twist - the bologna will be served on a glazed doughnut)

- Pulled pork nachos

- Churros

- Complimentary water, coffee, hot chocolate and soft drinks; beer will be available for purchase

- Face painter

- DJ - the Legends' own Mykraphone Mike

- On-the-hour enter- to-win: a variety of Legends-related prizes will be awarded

- College basketball on TV screens

On the concourse

-Inflatables, including a new Big L inflatable, a Bouncy House and Tee Ball

-Cornhole

Kids Area (down left field line)

-Jungle gym

The Stache Shoppe Retail Store:

-The new-look Stache Shoppe will be open, with a "spring cleaning" sale.

On the field:

There will be a variety of games on the field, including

-Knocker balls

-Pony hop

Ballpark Tours:

Tours will offer an up-close look not only at seating areas, but also the press box, suites, home clubhouse and some new attractions. Fans will get a tour "passport" when they visit specific locations at the ballpark, and will win prizes when all new areas have been visited.
