
Legends kick off fifth anniversary season

LEXINGTON, KY â The Lexington Legends officially announced their plans today to memorialize their Fifth Anniversary season. The season-long celebration will be presented by First National Bank of Lexington and will include special features and events.
"We are very excited to be the partners with the Lexington Legends and their fifth year anniversary," states Dorsey Hall, Board Chair of First National Bank of Lexington. "We believe Kevin Kulp and Alan Stein have brought an excitement to Lexington that was long overdue, and certainly deserved. This year it will be even better, and it is our honor to partner with them on this year of celebration."
As part of the six-figure deal, First National Bank will have a significant presence at Applebee's Park in 2005. The company will be included in all media campaigns as well as all Legends publications ranging from game programs to the recently unveiled newsletter. Other companies within First National Bank's corporate family will share in the branding opportunities.
"We are thrilled with the relationship with First National Bank," said Legends President/CEO Alan Stein. "Their investment in our fifth year allows the Legends to say thank you in a big way to all of our fans in Central Kentucky who have been so good to us during our first four seasons."
The Legends have many special events planned to pay tribute to the fifth anniversary. The team will present their inaugural Hall of Fame class. Four members will be presented during the media luncheon on April 5th. The fifth member will be selected through fan balloting and will be announced during a big birthday celebration on August 3rd. All five members will be honored in a Ring of Fame inside the seating bowl at Applebee's Park.
Other surprises will be included during Big L's Birthday Bash on August 3rd. The Legends will unveil a brand new mascot to roam the âThe Orchard' with Big L and his pal, Pee Wee.
The season-long celebration will highlight Lexington's legendary first four seasons. Among the promotions:
· Five-cent hotdogs every Tuesday night
· Murals of former players displayed at Applebee's Park
· Video introductions where fans can tell why they are the Legends' biggest
fan
· Play day for kids on July 31st
· "High-5" cam
· Famous fifth place trivia
· A different "Top 5" every night
