Your 'Birds Are Bringing You A Big Day!
Save the Date: Saturday, March 19th @ 10am - 2pm, the "2nd Annual Shorebrids Family Fun Fest; featuring Camp Fair 2005!
The doors of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium (Home of Your Delmarva Shorebirds) will swing open at 10a.m. - this is a FREE Admission Day at our ballpark! All families, friends, and fans are welcome to enjoy all the fun activities and festivities! Oh, and it's also the very first day individual game tickets go on sale!!! Check out the 2005 game-calendar to find out when you're going to root on Your Shorebirds in this 10th Anniversary Season! This is your day to buy the best seats in the house!

And of course..."Camp Fair 2005" will be on hand the entire day inside the stadium! This is absolutely perfect for the parents. Camp Fair last year had more than 350 families visit Camp Fair when it was held at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce. This year more than 25 camps and summer programs are expected to attend. Camp representatives will answer questions, provide information and, in many cases, take reservations. Camp Fair gives parents the opportunity to plan for summer care in a unique way! Be the Next Emcee of Your Shorebirds!
Do you think you have what takes? You can audition to be the next emcee of Your Delmarva Shorebirds 10th Anniversary Season! Kiss 105.5FM brings you "The ANNOUNCER" on Saturday, March 5th located in The Centre At Salisbury! Here's the way it works: All contestants will be run through a 3-minute max gig, (introduce themselves, perform a talent, and then be handed a skit the need to act out, also some surprise off-the-wall antics with Sherman!) From every contestant showin' off tehir skills, our judges panel will choose the Top 7 contestants, who will make it to the next step, which is a personal invitation try-out inside Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Only one will be the next emcee, the other six will be the famous "Flock" (Your Shorebirds Fan Patrol, brought you by Happy Harry's.) So, if you think you have what it takes...electrifying energy, great crowd presence and a drive to entertain others, then wait no longer, here is your calling. Shorebirds Hit the Sunshine State!
We're about two weeks away from the boys of summer to arrive together! It's about that time for full squad Spring Training down in Sarasota, FL. Pitchers and Catchers report March 4th, full team by the 8th of March and they're off hittin' the ground running! A lot of players are out in '05 and eager to prove themselves, there is a whole new coaching staff in tact and everyone is carrying a winning attitude. This season is going to be one for the record books, we hope we can count on you to watch these young bright stars of today, become Baltimore Orioles tomorrow! Thanks to our good friends at WMDT studios, Channel 47 will broadcast Your "Shorebird Showcase" 10th Anniversary Season Outlook. WMDT will cover footage from Spring Training and send you around the bases as we gear up for this exciting baseball season on Delmarva! "Shorebirds Showcase" will air twice, on Saturday, April 9th @ 6:30pm and again on Sunday, April 10th at noontime. Hit the Books, Then Hit the Ball!
Over 15,000 students to participate in Your Delmarva shorebirds 2005 "Hit the Books" Program! All new this year: two "hit the books" games accompanied with post-game fireworks extravaganzas! The 8th Annual "Hit the Books" Program is a homerun for all, especially while watching Your Shorebirds Baseball! This season's program has grown tremendously; it now stretches over 12 different counties, 45 different schools and over 15,000 elementary and middle school students. All students who complete Your Shorebirds "Hit the Books" program will be rewarded a complimentary ticket for either the Tuesday, April 26th game or the Tuesday, May 3rd game, both with a starting time of 6:35 p.m. (School districts have been pre-selected with a designated date for each ballgame.) All of the "Hit the Books" students will be honored during a pre-game ceremony that takes place on the baseball diamond. Cheering for Your 'Birds and Making' Cash! Oh cool is that? Your Delmarva Shorebirds food service is run by Ovations, a Division Company of Comcast-Spectacor. They want you to join their team! Ovation's Food Service Co. is holding a Summer Job Fair on Saturday, March 5th from 10am-2pm. For this Ovations Food Service Job Fair, we ask if you please apply in person, bring social security card, photo ID, and work permit number and you will be on your way of having one of the best summer jobs in town! (Must be 16yrs. of age or older) Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.

As the hometown team goes on tour (starting Saturday, March 5th @ 1pm inside the Centre At Salisbury) trying to find "The ANNOUNCER!" We want to know what our fans are thinking. Who do you want to see be the next on-field emcee. This season will be filled with huge attractions, constant entertainment, great baseball, thrilling fireworks extravaganza, and a whole lot more!
